With God’s blessings and your support, CFCAC will continue its mission of
“A community of Christian people committed to providing for the needs of the
people.”

CFCAC is blessed to have the support of 37 local churches with 21 Board members who represent 19
of those churches. CFCAC could not exist without the community’s support for the last nineteen
years.

The following people make up the Board of Directors of CFCAC and oversee the operation of the
Center:

Our operational funds come from three main sources:

  1. Donations:
    Food Pantry: nearly $20,000, over 13,000 food items & nearly 1,500 lbs. of deer
    School Fair: over $2,300
    Assistance/operations: over $61,000
  2. Grants:
    Food Pantry (food only): over $11,000
    School Fair: $3,000
    Assistance: nearly $45,000
  3. Thrift Store Sales: nearly $76,000

These three funding sources allow CFCAC to provide four main services to our community
members in need:

Food Pantry:
a. Served 664 different families helping over 6,800 people with over 33% being children b.
35% live in rural Adams County, 54% live within Quincy City limits, and the rest live outside
Adams County
c. Food purchased = over $76,000 from Central Illinois Food Bank, K’s Family Foods, Quincy
Savealot and other sources
d. 2 – 4 hygiene products are available with every visit for a cost of over $4,500

Assistance: Given to clients living in Adams County, less than 20 miles from the Center
and outside Quincy City limits who have completed an application and supplied necessary
information. All information is verified.
a. Over $95,000 in assistance was given in 2023
b. This assistance is primarily given for rent/mortgage, electricity, heating or water expenses
c. Over 200 clients were helped through this program
d. 93% live in rural Adams County, 3% in Brown County, and 4% in Hancock County

School Fair: was held on August 2, 2023
a. 318 students were served with backpacks & supplies
b. Many students also participated in receiving physicals, immunizations, and haircuts
c. Students live in the Central District or are CFCAC clients
d. Total cost of School Fair = $8,374.00
e. Average cost per student = $26.33
f. Did not solicit for funds due to large carryover from past year

GED Preparation Program: Beginning in the fall of 2020, CFCAC and John Wood
Community College partner this course to all CFCAC clients. Currently, 4 students are
participating. In the spring of 2023, CFCAC had its first two graduates.

VOLUNTEERS: Only way CFCAC continues to operate:
a. Total number of adult volunteers = 255
b. Total number of volunteer hours = 8,063.75
c. Total number of student service hours = 187.75
